If Prambanan Temple is the largest Hindu Temple, Borobudur is the biggest Buddhist Temple on the planet. As one of the world’s heritages, Borobudur is now protected by UNESCO.
Being established during the reigning of the Syailendra Dynasty in the 9th century, Borobudur has been abandoned and not recognized for hundreds of years. After the reinvention of the temple, UNESCO took the lead to renovate it. With its grandeur structure, Borobudur Temple has attracted thousands of tourists across the world to visit it every year. The construction of the temple is divided into three main parts, they are Kamadatu, Rupadatu, and Arupadatu. Each part of the temple’s structure represents a human’s life cycle in the world.
