Dingklik Post
This observation post is the first post that is passed through the Pasuruan track. The location of this post is not too far from the gate of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park which only needs around 4 minutes. The location is also full of sellers. There is also a parking spot for Jeeps. This observation post is like a terrace on the cliffside and the spot is rather small to accommodate many tourists.
Bukit Cinta
The second spot to see Bromo Mountain Sunrise is in Bukit Cinta. This spot is also can be passed through the Pasuruan track. Bukit Cinta is a hill with an altitude of 2,680 meters above sea level. This spot is one of the popular spots due to its name. Not only that but this hill is also popular because of the massive wall with “Love Hill Bromo Tengger” on it as a marker as well as a photo spot. In this hill, tourists will be able to see Kaldera Tengger which are Mount Bromo, Mount Kursi, Watangan, and also Mount Widodaren. You can also see the highest peak on the Java island which is Puncak Mahameru. Besides Bukit Cinta, this location is called as Lemah Pasar or Pasar Agung by the Tengger tribe because this place is used for traditional ceremonies.
Bukit Kingkong
The last spot to see Bromo Mountain Sunrise is in Bukit Kingkong. Bukit Kingkong is the most crowded spot for Jeeps transportation before you get to the Puncak Penanjakan. The Tengger tribe called this hill as Kadaluh from the Sanskrit which has the meaning of hope of fertility of Tengger. On this hill, you will be able to see the same view as Bukit Cinta. The location of this hill is in the terrain form on the hill which is confined by concrete fences. This beautiful spot is an alternative spot when Puncak Penanjakan is already packed with tourists. Usually, the locals said that tourists that start from Malang or Probolinggo, end up in this spot. The reason is that so they can get down first to Mount Bromo in the afternoon. There are more spots that you can visit to enjoy the sunrise on Mount Bromo. However, if you want to enjoy a peaceful morning without too many people, these three spots are perfect for you.
