Wae Rebo is a traditional village that isolated in the district of Manggarai at the Island of Flores of East Nusa Tenggara. Received the Top Award of Excellence from UNESCO in 2012 in Asia Pacific Heritage. This small and isolated village was recognized for its rebuilding of the Mbaru Niang which is the traditional house.
Located at about 1,100 meters above sea level and about 3-4 hours walk from Denge Village. Wae Rebo is surrounded with scenic mountains and dense Todo woodland. This tropical forest is rich in vegetation, where you can find orchids, different kinds of ferns and listen to the chirping of many different kinds of songbirds. This small isolated and greenish village is sure could be a cure for you who longed for a piece and clement air.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Labuan Bajo – Denge Village – Wae Rebo Village
* Pick up service at hotel around Labuan Bajo area at 06:30 AM
* Drive to Denge Village
* Arrived at Denge Village, trekking to Wae Rebo Village
* Arrived at Wae Rebo Village
* Rest for a while or you can interact with the Wae Rebo villagers
* Enjoy the culture and the daily routine the villager doing
* Stay in Wae Rebo traditional house known as Mbaru Niang.
* Having the dinner just like the local villagers
* Rest and experience the serenity of the village
Day 02: Wae Rebo Village – Cara Village – Lembor – Labuan Bajo
* Breakfast at Mbaru Niang with the traditional delicacy breakfast set
* Spending time by taking pictures or observing the local villagers daily life
* Start the morning trekking back to Denge Village
* Enjoy the panoramic view in the middle morning trekking activity
* Arrived at Denge Village
* Drive to Cara Village
* Visit Spider Web Rice Field
* Having lunch Ruteng and stop at the local market and Ruteng Pu’u Village
* Drive back to Labuan Bajo
* Drop off service to Labuan Bajo
