UNESCO considered Borobudur Temple as the grandest and largest monument and stupa complex in the world. One of the most popular moments in Borobudur Temple is the sunrise. If you have a plan for seeing the sunset, then you must be ready to wake up early. Our English speaking driver will pick you up in the very early morning, exactly at 03.45 AM (Yogyakarta area). After this, our driver will directly transfer you to the Borobudur Temple to see the amazing sunrise.
The tourists can see the beautiful sunrise at the top of Borobudur Temple. Not only beautiful with its sunrise, but you can also see the beautiful scenery from Merapi mountains and its surroundings as the background. Surely during this tour, our English local guide will accompany you. Besides that, the tour guide will also unfold the historical story behind its beautiful meanings which craved on the stupas alongside the temple which was built during the 8th Century.
After seeing the beautiful sunrise, we will take you to have an amazing breakfast experience at the local restaurant. It takes about 2,5 hours for a long drive from the local restaurant to Dieng Plateau. You can see the amazing Javanese road scenery which is surrounded by the two infamous mountains, like Sindoro and Sumbing mountains. Warm greetings from a hazy hill within clouds that slowly descend people’s farm site on the slope will be the best and amazing spotlight during the drive to Dieng Plateau.
After arriving at Dieng Area for around mid-day. Then, of course you can start to explore the area. For the first adventure, you may visit the colored lake from the viewing point or called Telaga Warna. One of the features from Telaga Warna is the water that can change into some different colors. That was caused by the presence of quite high sulfur content from this lake. While you are here, you need to take a walk up the hill to reach the viewing point that was located at the top of the hill.
For the next adventure, you can go back to the parking area and then head for Sikidang Valley. Sikidang Valley is an active crater that puffs sulfur gas. After visiting Sikidang Valley, then you can visit Arjuna Temple in the afternoon.
You can see the beauty of Arjuna Temple which is very amazing here. And after the tour late afternoon which around 4 PM, we will take you back to Yogyakarta for about 3,5 hours driving. But of course, we will stop at a local restaurant for dinner before the drop off service.
